Today the New England Club Baseball Association has announced its awards for the fall season and three Wildcats earned recognition. Senior, Captain Matt Keene (Berlin, NH) was honored as the League's MVP with Junior Andy Basque (Westborough, MA) and Freshman Adam Bates (North Andover, MA) earning a spot on the League's All Star Team.

The UNH Baseball team participated in the Yankee Small Conference College playoffs on Saturday, October 8 and left with some hardware as the Wildcats won the championship.

Before the start of a baseball game the starting pitcher wants to look at the opposing team's offensive line-up, more specifically the middle of it. A lot of team's rely on the middle of their order to produce runs and create havoc on the field, but the trio from the University of New Hampshire baseball team are putting up numbers that no opposing pitcher ever wants to see before a game.

The University of New Hampshire Baseball team went into the weekend with a record of 13-2 and a 12 game winning streak.

The University of New Hampshire Baseball team continued their streak of good play over the weekend with five wins at home.

UNH 6 Bridgton 2

The Wildcats kicked off the weekend with a Friday Night game against Bridgton Academy; Bridgton was off a two-game sweep of the University of Maine in which they outscored the Black Bears 12-1, but UNH would not let Bridgton come to Durham without a fight.

The Poster features the UNH Team photo as well as Junior Catcher, Jeff Agnew on the left, Sophomore Pitcher Graham Turner on the right, and the teams 3,4 and 5 hitters in the middle; Junior Zach Hutton, Senior Matt Keene and Junior Andy Basque.

Head Coach - Mason Roberge

Coach Roberge joins the UNH Wildcats after a successful four year career at St. Joesephs College of Maine. Roberge, who pitched at St. Joes also lead his High School, Franklin High School and American Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post 1, baseball teams to numerous playoff appearances as well as earning multiple personal accolades. Roberge brings an energetic style of play as well as his expertise to the Wildcats.

The University of New Hampshire Baseball team has added 14 players to the roster for the 2011-2012 season. After two days of tryouts the following 14 have been extended an invitation to the club.

The UNH Baseball Team would like to personally thank everyone for coming out; it was one of the most competitive tryouts we have ever had. Anyone that has questions feel free to contact President/ Captain Matt Keene.

Junior Captain Matt Keene (Berlin, NH) has been named to the 2010 NECBA All Star Team for the first time in his career. Keene had a solid season hitting .404 with 16 RBI, 6 doubles and 10 walks. Keene led the WIldcats in On Base Percentage (.486), Doubles (6), RBI (16), and Field Percentage (.989) (minimum of 25 chances).

The University of New Hampshire Baseball team spent Sunday, November 21st volunteering at a road race in Newfields, NH. The road race was to help promote health in young kids in the Newfield seacoast area. The Wildcats helped orchestrate parking as well as direct traffic and hand out water to the runners.
